Workshop SANGARE at Les Ateliers - NANTES



Andre Dekker, Observatorium will be leading a workshop, preparing 8 students of art to create a contribution to the Observatorium project SANAGARE, a temporary view tower, sand oasis and gardens. In collaboration with the school of fine arts ESBA, Nantes and green services of Nantes, SEVE.
SANAGARE was commissioned by Samoa, Nantes. The workshop will take place at Halles Alstom, an enormous industrial site and the future home of the art of Nantes. Nantes was awarded the title of European Green Capital for 2013 and has turned its island into a laboratory where the frontiers and the links between sustainable development and creativity can be explored. From heavy industries to creative industries, the transformation continues, with the ultimate goal being a responsible economy. The opening of the temporary oasis, view tower, gardens and student artworks is June, 15.
