Interns at Observatorium

Interns at Observatorium

An intern at Observatorium never ends his period of learning by doing without having designed and realized an artwork in public space. We trust people who find us and apply. This is already a big step, because they will work for a studio that only in some respect belong to the field they study, be it architecture, landscape, interior or product design. Apart from their own discipline, they exercise in psychology of perception, collaboration, generosity and using their imagination.

This summer Young Observatorium, Lieven Poutsma, Maila Mangiapanello, Ymke Vertelman and Suze Hoek, (without the help of Old Observatorium) created several gardens in a park in Zielona Gora. Zebra crossings connecting the new gardens en the old park, losely refering to the grave yards that were here before. Deep, smart and beautiful.

The work was commisisoned and managed by Marta Gendera, CEO of Fundacja Salony in Zielona Gora in Poland. It is part of a series of artworks around the Millennium Park: http://www.milleniumpark.eu/?lang=en
